Introduction
Plastic Cutting Sticks in Five Grades

Selecting the proper cutting stick will improve cut quality and quantity between stick changes while extending blade life between sharpening. Incorrect stick choices can result in prematurely dull or nicked knives. 

The proper balance of hardness and elasticity provides self-healing characteristics that prevent premature grooving-out of the sticks and reduces the tendency of the sticks to pack with dust.

Choosing a Cutting Stick Grade

Choose the proper grade stick from the chart below:
 

Standard This grade is a High Density Polyethylene, usually a Green or 
White color. This grade of stick is the most popular for general use with all grades of knives. It is accurately machined to fit the cutter tables and is available cut to length or in full 118” bars.
 
Premium Usually a Gray color, these Heavy-Duty Polypropylene sticks are intended for hard use in high volume cutting applications. They are very abrasion resistant and easy on knife blades.
 
Original Red True to the name, these PVC sticks are Red in color and are very popular in the flat stick designs such as the Polar Squiggle sticks. Hundreds of thousands of these sticks have been used for decades in Polars with great results and loyal return customers.
 
White Nylons These hard, Cast Nylon sticks are very dense and specifically suited to the many, many cuts and pounding common in the Muller Martini and Kolbus three knife trimmers.
 
Clear Choice Clear in appearance, our newest stick is an extremely durable blended polymer stick intended as a step above our premium sticks. We have run numerous field tests to assure you that this grade is the Clear Choice for your cutting operation. (Available only in Polar sticks.)
